In the past two weeks, I’ve had some awesome workouts! I guess that was mostly because of the fantastic mild and sunny weather. Spring is in the air!
I ran with my co-workers during our lunch break a few times, ran my old ‘at-home’ route for the first time in months, and biked for more than 60 minutes on a stationary bike at the gym (while reading a novel!). Looks like my exercise mojo is back, finally!
That’s what I thought. Sadly, the pain in my right foot is back, too. It all started last summer, when I tried out some new, expensive (!) running shoes. After switching back to my old, dirty-cheap sneakers, my foot slowly recovered. But a few hours after last Wednesday’s Lunch Break Run, the pain was so bad that I could hardly walk. Why me?! Why now?!
I’m trying to do the smart thing, giving my foot some rest. I don’t know exactly what’s wrong with my foot, but I think it’s some kind of tendonitis. So I’m going to take a few days off of running, and stretch and ice my foot as often as I can. Until then I’ll just bike some more instead.
