The weather has been fantastic during the past few days, mostly sunny, with temperatures around 70 °F (21 °C) – that’s not normal for October! I’m enjoying it while it lasts.
Today I went on another Lunch Break Run. Co-worker Alex ran the first mile with me, then he went ahead, as usual. During that run, I realized how much I enjoy running alone. Last week I tried to run with my husband a few times. It was awful! He’s way faster than me (note: he’s 16 years older, smokes, and never works out – life ain’t fair!). As I always try to keep up with him (stupid, I know!), I burn out fast and get frustrated. Running alone, at my own comfortable pace, is much more fun. Sorry, husband!
- Distance: 3.25 miles (5,2 km)
- Time: 36:40 minutes
- Average pace: 11:16 min/mile
- Feeling: Exhausted, but happy
I still need to work on my endurance, to get back to where I used to be this summer, but I think it’s not that bad. I just need to keep going.
