Today I felt kind of tired and sluggish, and had a hard time motivating myself to workout. But then I read some very inspirational tweets, changed into my running gear, and went out the door. I decided to add some short sprints to work on my speed, and it really worked!
- Distance: 3.1 miles (5 km)
- Time: 33:50 minutes
- Average pace: 10:54 min/mile
- Feeling: Exhausted
I’m really proud of myself for getting in a great run, even though I almost skipped it.
When I came home I quickly jumped into the shower, because dinner was already waiting for me:
Gimbap is the Korean name for sushi. My rolls contained egg, avocado, cucumber, and pickled radish. It was incredibly delicious!
A few days ago I mentioned that I’ve been thinking about participating in a local 5k race next Saturday. I decided that I won’t do it. It’s just too soon for me, and I feel totally undertrained, so I probably wouldn’t enjoy it. I want to aim for a sub 30 min time, to at least be in the middle of the pack. That should be possible for me, if I keep training for a few more months. I will run a race one day, but I’m just not ready yet.
