After last week’s disappointing runs I had a really hard time motivating myself to try again. But I’m just too stubborn to give up so easily, so I went for a short run yesterday.
From the very beginning I felt very tired and out of breath. I kept thinking things like: “Why am I doing this? This is not fun at all!”. I even took a walking break at the halfway point, as I was convinced that this was a slow run anyway. As I returned home I was feeling quite down because of another “bad” run. That was until I calculated my average pace!
- Distance: 2.7 miles (4,3 km)
- Time: 30:00 minutes
- Average pace: 11:06 min/mile
- Feeling: Grumpy
What?! I felt so extremely slow, but obviously my gut feeling was wrong. I wonder when I will finally break the 11:00 min/mile? I hope it will happen soon!
